SALVAGE RUN
The field doesn't care who wins. It just wants to be picked clean.
Two ships. One wreck field. No backup coming.
You and the Rival — an AI that never blinks, never panics, and never stops calculating, drop into a debris field with 75 Hull and a handful of scrap-built starter cards. Everything after that is yours to build. Draw your hand, spend Scrap in the Salvage Market, mount Equipment, bank Alien Tech, and open fire before the Rival gets the chance to fire first. Whoever hits 0 Hull loses the ship. There's no reset button out here.
Build a captain, not just a deck
Choose your Species, Profession, and Mutation — sixteen combinations, each one changing how your ship survives. Reinforced hulls. Auto-regenerating shields. Cheaper Alien Tech. A crew built for the long grind, or one built to end things fast.
Every card is a gamble worth taking
Nothing in your deck is static. Every card hides two actions — a safe, reliable play and a riskier, harder-hitting one, so the deck you end the run with barely resembles the one you started with. Salvage what you can, trash what you can't use, and never stop upgrading.
Volatile Systems don't forgive
Some cards don't just work, they roll for it. Commit to a dice-based special and you might walk away with a devastating payoff, or you might walk away with nothing. The field doesn't owe you consistency.
The Black Market always opens eventually
Survive long enough and the real weapons come out, game-breaking Ultimates that can turn a losing run into a one-shot execution. The only question is whether you get there first.
Four ways to die
Cadet gives you room to learn. Dreadnought gives you none, a Rival with reinforced Hull, triple Equipment slots, a free Alien Tech every turn, and zero interest in mercy.
Full rules, card anatomy, dice math, and Ultimates are built directly into the game, hit How to Play any time you need a refresher. Nothing to look up, nothing to alt-tab for.
The wreck field is waiting. So is the Rival.
